James Cawley
Board Manager

Mr. Cawley founded Axiom Global Partners, a boutique credit derivative interdealer broker in late 2002. Axiom rose quickly to become a dominant player the inter dealer credit derivative index and high yield credit default markets. In investment grade CDS, he led Axiom to become a market leader in the following sectors: Banks/Finance, Oil/Gas, Paper/Pulp/Mining & Consumer/Retail.

Under his leadership, Axiom became the largest electronic broker of CDS in the US. James also spearheaded Axiom’s expansion into Europe, launching their London office using an electronic platform in September 2004.

In 2004, Axiom experienced close to 100% revenue growth (YOY), with a net income margin of over 25% for NY. Axiom had gone cash flow positive within weeks of launch.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (’91), Cawley also founded DirectCellars.Com (1998), an online wine business that serviced customers in 35 states. Selling it ultimately to Urbanfetch.Com, DirectCellars.Com returned 8.5x money to its investors. Several DirectCellars investors were Axiom investors and are presently investors in IDX Capital.

James also has several years in fixed income sales & trading experience at Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers and Bank of America. In 1996, notably Cawley pioneered the emerging market Eurobond desk at Bank of America in London. In his first year of trading, James won them recognition as one of the 'Top Ten Emerging Eurobond Desks' (International Finance Review).

Mathias Asemota
Board Manager

Mr. Asemota is a Class B Manager and works for Rhombus Private Capital, a private family trust granted in Jersey. Starlight Investments holds the US assets of the trust according to PFIC trust regulations. Starlight Investments is a Class B member and investor.  Mr. Asemota is responsible for IT, specifically program trading software, coding implementation and research. He was previously employed in a similar role at Cassian Capital LLC, a UK registered Hedge Fund.

Mr. Asemota was introduced to the firm by Starlight Investments.  Mr. Asemota is a UK resident. Mr. Asemota read Medicine at St. George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London and completed courses in Investments and Financial management at the Hass School of Business, UC Berkeley.

Mr. Asemota currently also serves on the Board of Directors of Junosa Systems Limited, a UK privately held financial software company.   Mr. Asemota performs in a traditional Board Manager/Director’s role attending Board meetings and assisting the Board in strategic matters.

 


Terrence Flynn
Board Manager

Terence Flynn is partner at the law firm of Flynn & Flynn in New York.  Flynn & Flynn is general practice that has specialty areas in contract law, real estate, general commercial transactions and certain state regulatory matters.

Mr. Flynn is a member of the NY State Bar Association and has practiced law in New York for over 20 years.  Mr. Flynn graduated from St. John's School of Law (’86) and studied Finance at Siena College (’83).  Mr. Flynn is a US resident.

Mr. Flynn is not involved in the ‘day to day’ management of IDX Capital, LLC or IDX Derivatives, LLC.  Mr. Flynn performs in a traditional Board Manager/Director’s role attending Board meetings and assisting the Board in strategic matters from time to time.
