James Cawley

Chief Executive Officer — IDX Capital, LLC

Mr. Cawley founded IDX in 2005 and has led the company as CEO since early 2006. Mr. Cawley oversees all aspects of the business, but focuses primarily on strategic initiatives and client relationships.

Previously, Mr. Cawley founded Axiom Global Partners, a boutique credit derivative interdealer broker in late 2002. Axiom rose quickly to become a dominant player the interdealer credit derivative index and high yield credit default markets. Under his leadership, Axiom became the largest electronic broker of CDS in the US executing over $1.5 Billion daily. James also spearheaded Axiom’s expansion into Europe, launching their London office in September 2004. In his two years as CEO, no fewer than five firms discussed merger or purchase options with Axiom. By late 2004, Cawley had decided to pursue a fully electronic trading model, and he left Axiom to found IDX Capital.

Mr. Cawley is a recognized authority on credit derivative market structure issues including counterparty risk mitigation, regulation and transparency. He has been quoted in numerous publications including The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, Fortune, Business Week, thestreet.com, Bloomberg, and Creditflux. Mr. Cawley has also made several appearances on television, including FOX Business News.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (91), Cawley also founded and ran DirectCellars.Com (1998), which returned 8.5x money to its investors. James also has several years in fixed income sales & trading experience at Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, and Bank of America. In 1996, notably, Cawley pioneered the emerging market Eurobond desk at Bank of America in London. In his first year of trading, Cawley won them recognition as one of the 'Top Ten Emerging Eurobond Desks' (International Finance Review).

Alexander Harrison

Managing Director — IDX Capital, LLC

Mr. Harrison joined IDX Capital in 2008 to manage development and strategic efforts for the firm during a period of rapid growth and technology deployment.

He was previously at FTVentures, where he focused on market structure and electronic trading venture capital investments. Earlier, he worked at Sequoia Capital, concentrating on financial technology, as well as at Summit Partners as a generalist technology investor. Mr. Harrison is passionate about investing in and building electronic platforms that aim to flatten market structure and bring fairness and transparency to trading environments across asset classes

Mr. Harrison has originated and executed over $500 million in venture and private equity investments during his career. He also served on the Board of Directors of Vision Care Holdings, as well as a Boston-based charity serving the social good. Mr. Harrison began his career at Goldman Sachs and graduated from Dartmouth College.

 



Edwin Rodriquez

Managing Director — IDX Capital, LLC

Mr. Rodriguez, 43, joins IDX Capital from JP Morgan Chase where he worked for 15 years.

At JPMorgan, most recently Mr. Rodriguez was a Vice President of Credit and Commercial Banking responsible for commercial credit, securities operations, & small business compliance. He held that position for three years.

Mr. Rodriguez also led managed 24 securities professionals focused on small & middle tier NY based investment & cash management accounts.

From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Rodriguez was a regional securities compliance director for JP Morgan in New York City and Long Island where he oversaw 180 NASD registered representatives.  At Chemical Bank, Mr. Rodriguez also helped develop the institution’s new insurance products franchise for small business, during which he managed 90 insurance sales professionals.

Mr. Rodriguez is NASD Series 7, 24 registered and is scheduled to complete his Series 27 (Financial Operations) in Jun 2007.
