IDX Hub — Straight Through Processing (STP)
Through IDX Hub, IDX Capital will also provide STP (Straight Through Processing) solutions to streamline the credit derivative trade settlement process and lower the client's back end transaction cost.
IDX Hub will offer real time trade validation and confirmation to IDX Clients' middle and back offices in conjunction with IDX Live's front office real time confirmation system. IDX Hub's third party connectivity is agnostic and thus easily integrates directly into any number of systems that the client may choose.
Addressing the issue of inefficient and expensive trade settlement processes has been an ongoing market wide concern as nearly $1 Trillion in notional value of the $12 Trillion CDS market remains unsettled.
By launching IDX Hub, IDX Capital continues to ensure that we are adding value directly to our clients by tackling this trade settlement issue head on.
The "V10 Consortium" Dealer Initiative
IDX has significant relationships with major US and European dealers of credit derivatives. As an organization known for advocating transparency, risk management technologies and straight-through processing, IDX Capital has been involved in various market initiatives promoting efficient market structure.
In 2008, IDX Capital worked with a dealer consortium under the project name "V10 Financial." Through this initiative, IDX considered combining its trading technology and management expertise with dealer liquidity to form a jointly-owned electronic interdealer broker of credit derivatives.
The consortium included: Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, UBS, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Royal Bank of Scotland.
